The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America has written a guide about having difficult conversations about social issues in a church setting. This may help congregations who are trying to discern their welcoming stance to LGBT people.

The Institute for Welcoming Resources offers these resources for pastors wishing to marry gay and lesbian couples and providing relationship counseling for these couples.

 

Lutheran pastor Rev. Caleb Crainer has written a Bible study for gay/straight conversations entitled “Affirming Word”. Rev. Crainer serves St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in West Los Angeles.

 

Gay Church.org is a gay affirming Christian web site that contains one of the largest world-wide gay “welcoming” Christian church directories and gay Christian bulletin boards in the world. The site also contains numerous articles on a wide range of subjects (in English and Spanish) as well as in-depth studies on reconciling ones faith with their sexual orientation.
